The only way forward is across an old wooden bridge, the planks of which are rotten and broken; hanging down in some places, completely missing in others. The rope handrail, too, looks dangerously old and ragged. The river flows quickly and, in the depths, you can make out sharp, treacherous looking rocks.

 

In a tree, on the far side of the opening, a sad looking bird with vibrant yellow and blue feathers gazes back at you with wide, melancholy eyes.

Dex is ready to try his luck on the bridge. Ki wants to look to the Encheiridion for inspiration. Meanwhile, Ly is distracted by the unhappy bird.
